이루마, Yiruma, (born 15 Feb 1978, Seoul, Korea) is a South Korean piano music composer. His works have also been released in Japan.

Yiruma started to learn the piano at home in Korea at the age of 5. In 1988 he moved to England, and in Dec 1996 he participated in the album The Musicians of Purcell (Decca). He graduated from The Purcell Of Specialist Music School (London) in July 1997, then from Kings College in June 2000.

Yiruma is well known throughout the world, and his albums are sold all over the United States and Europe, as well as Asia. His most famous pieces include “Kiss the Rain”, “May Be” and “River flows in You” (From the Yellow Room).

Although he formerly held dual citizenship as a citizen of the United Kingdom and South Korea, in July 2006 he gave up his British citizenship and entered the Republic of Korea Navy to begin his military service, which is mandatory for all male South Koreans.

    Thank you one hundred times for your wonderful music provided for our listening pleasure and especially for GIVING us the sheet music to try and emulate your music and style. I have 3 piano students. One of them brought 'River Flows in You' to a lesson. It was wonderful and I went online to learn more. This student's sister took two of your pieces and played for our small recital at Christmas. She played them just beautifully and it actually brought tears to my husband's eyes. He thinks it is so wonderful that these neighbor kids know enough about piano now to play something like your songs, because I did not have any piano teaching experience before these kids and that was about 6+ years ago. We are very proud of them to have come this far, because they are in so many other good things too, and piano is just ONE of their interests. Piano practice has many competitions for time in their lives.

    Yiruma, I love you work, you music is so beautiful. The piano is a wonderful thing to be able to play. Thank you so mutch for the sheet music, I've been learning to play piano but I don't have a Tudor so it's kinda slow. You are my favorite pianist, I can only hope to become half as good as you are thank you for what you do.

    Great music. Sheet music is a bit inaccurate. I listened carefully and followed the music, and you will find a part missing in River Flows in You. Overall it is a great website... You know why? IT'S FREE!

    I am so very grateful to have access to the downloads of the beautiful music of Yiruma, but am feeling a little guilty and disconcerted about having free access to his works when by all rights, his music should be available for purchase.     I love this composer! He is seriously the best composer ever.
    I love that he has posted all of the sheet music he has ever composed on this blog so that I don't have to go somewhere, like the store, to buy it.
    Yiruma's music flows beautifully and you can almost hear what he was thinking when he wrote it. You can feel the mood and it's beautiful.
    Yiruma is a truly inspiring pianist and expresses his feelings and thoughts amazingly through his music. Making him the best pianist ever. Thank you for your music!

    Hi, I am sincerely in love with Yiruma's compositions. I am impatient to learn them all.

    Recently, I have listened to the version of "Maybe" in the "best reminiscent 10th anniversary" CD. At the end (or almost), Yiruma does an arrangement that is different from the "standard" partition. The arrangement is... somehow very "reverberent" in the low notes and makes a brilliant trill (i think that is how it is called) in the high notes. The second trill is litterally nailed at the end by a high note. If find this arrangement absolutely high class. Is there anyone who can point me to where I can find the music sheet, or give me some advices on how to execute it? I am still a beginner but do understand some music theory.
